The smoked local chili sauce is a multipurpose spice sauce that can be used as a marinade, as sides with snacks or in making dishes spicier. The chili used in the sauce is locally sourced from in and around Nagaland. It is then smoked till the chili dries and inculcates a smoky flavor after which it is ground into a sauce. This sauce can be used in making marinades, stir fry, dips; fried dishes etc. This sauce can be had with anything and everything especially if you love a little spice to the dish.

This company is a renowned name in the culinary world of Nagaland and the North east. Chef Joe, the founder of the company, initially started off by introducing organic chilli sauces and then went on to gradually expand the menu.
The birth story of Chef Joe’s is that it started off during the Hornbill Festival of 2017 where the products received mad reviews from the consumers… the encouragement and their fondness with their products was enough for the Chef to start a line of these products. He took all the indigenous Ingredients from surrounding areas and made sure than no other artificial preservatives goes into the making of the final product.

    An excellent product. I eat it with just plain rice or use it as a marinade for chicken or pork. It imparts a warm, rich smokey flavour to the food. Highly recommended

    Just got my package today, and had to try some out immediately. The first thing that hits is the gorgeous smoke and pepper with a hint of citrus and a very faint floral hit. I proceeded to eat a little bit straight off my spoon and the heat hits you after a second or so after consumption - its definitely bhoot jolokia, but there's a lot of complexities going on, which makes you want to go back for more. I might have put some of this sauce inside a phuchka shell and topped with some rock salt and crumbled bacon and eaten about 20 of them. So far. I think this will also be terrific in a stir fry or just as a dipping sauce, or even mixed with some homemade mayo. Mind it, I said HOMEMADE.
